Victims of “Friendly Fire”

A news report the other day suggested that the US military considered using sex as a weapon.

Declassified documents reveal the Pentagon toyed with the idea of an aphrodisiac chemical weapon in 1994.

The gas would have made enemy soldiers sexually irresistible to each other. The weapon’s developers said homosexual behaviour among troops would deal a “distasteful but completely non-lethal” blow to morale

Such a tactic i.e. using sex as a weapon, is frowned upon in a relationship, but it would appear from the New Scientist article that the Pentagon felt it was also unacceptable on the battlefield.

Was it really rejected though? The New Scientist article states “it was not known if the proposed $7.5 million, six-year research plan was ever pursued”.

Was the the Pentagon’s answer to the “Make Love Not War” protests… with this chemical weapon they could have their cake and eat it too.

Perhaps they were worried that it would fall into enemy hands and were afraid that their own troops would fall victim to “friendly fire”. The soldiers wouldn’t see it coming… as they copped a shot in the back.

Perhaps they know it works too well… perhaps they tested it in San Francisco and Sydney’s Kings Cross. Yes… perhaps Mardi Gras is really a military exercise disguised as a party.

Hey… this might explain why the army have “Drill Sergeants”. AND why the infantry are called “Grunts”. AND didn’t the US army have a “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy… perhaps they tested it on their own troops.

Perhaps.
