Continuing with the movie review theme of my last post, I’d like to tell you about a movie I saw on FOXTEL while visiting a cousin of mine and her family. The movie was “The Fight Club”. Excellent movie. I have to put it up there with other great movies like “Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels”, “Sixth Sense”, “Unbreakable” and “Usual Suspect”. I’ve likened it to these movies as they have a degree of depth and have some severe twists (or at least one MAJOR twist somewhere). I like a movie that makes me think. Another movie that comes to mind, but is without the twist element is “Kids”. As I indicated with my assessment of “Shaft”, I’m partial to a “no brainer” once in a while too :). Having watched and liked “The Fight Club”, I’m going to have to go a get “The Snatch” on video asap, which is supposed to be a similar type of flick (it also stars Brad Pitt). I’ll let you know what I thought of it if I ever get around to seeing it.
