Scientists have found that Cows hold grudges… and that’s not the only trait that cattle share with humans.
… cows within a herd form friendship groups of between two and four animals with whom they spend most of their time, often grooming and licking each other. They will also dislike other cows, and can bear grudges for months or years.
“Grooming and licking” is something I’ve always done with my good friends.
This news seems somewhat approriate coming to light after the revelation that a 63 year old man in Wisconsin has been “charged with sexual gratification with an animal for allegedly having sex with calves.”
Harold G. Hart, of Neillsville, allegedly told police that he routinely stopped at a Greenwood farm, usually after bar closing or on trips to strip clubs near Marshfield or Neillsville.
One wonders what sort of strip clubs they have in the Marshfield-Neillsville area…
The big question is whether the court hearing on March 10th be take “victims-of-crime” statements? Personally, I think they should as it’d allow the cows to moove on with their lives.
Sure these cows will find it difficult to forgive Harold (they are known to hold a grudge), but it’s better that they address the issue – otherwise we might find ourselves with the situation where mad cows take to the street for retribution… cows with guns style.
